Trail Maps

Explore Naples NY wanted to share the diversity of trails available, as well as to make access to the trails easier, so we developed three hiking brochures featuring 17 different trails: Naples Village Trail Map, Naples Village Historic Trail Map, and Naples Trails Map. There are many other trails, these are just a sampling.

Naples Hiking Trails

Experienced hikers know that Naples has many amazing trails that take you up and in gorges, waterfalls and beautiful forests. The Naples Hiking Trail Map includes 10 trails of various terrains, difficulties and lengths that are all situated within 15 minutes of Naples. These are by no means all of the trails around Naples, and there is often more than one variation of the trails Explore Naples NYTM has chosen for this map, so this map serves as an introduction to the outdoor mecca that is Naples NY. The trails vary from 1 mile to 6.4 miles in length, and they can be accessed by using your device to read the respective link or QR code that will take you to the All Trains App that shows the details of the trail including topography and descriptions. Explore Conklin’s Gully, Clarks Gully, West Hill Preserve, High Tor Wildlife management Area and much, much more.

Village Historic Trail

The Village Historic Trail Map also stays within the Naples village guiding you on an approximately 2 mile stroll passing 23 historic sites hand-picked from Naples’ 220 year history. This brochure gives a short description of each site, and as is with all three brochures, it provides a QR code to show you where to park to begin and end your adventure. The Historic Trail Map will take you by a stop from the Underground Railroad, a cemetery with 11 Revolutionary War officers and soldiers, the home of the man who brought the first grape vines to Naples, the home of the man who found the world’s oldest tree fossil in Grimes Glen, and a big beautiful 200 year old Maple tree. Dig in to Naples’ history and stop for a bite or a drink along the way!

Village Trail Map

Naples Village Trail Map features 6 thematic trails all within the village limits of Naples. They incorporate natural beauty like Grimes Glen and Naples Creek, with the streets and sidewalks of Naples. Often, these “village hikes” take you past our restaurants, wineries and shops too. The shortest hike is .7 miles and the longest is just under 4.5 miles. The names of the trails speak for themselves. The Pour Tour is a 2.2 mile walk that takes you past two wineries, two breweries, a distillery, as well as other establishments. Then there’s the Woodland Romance Trail and the Rainbow Trout Trail both featuring beautiful walks near different sections of the Naples Creek. The Long haul Trail Run, Water Walk at Grimes Glen and EZ XC Ski Trail are all unique unto themselves, and again, take you past many restaurants and shops just in case you want to stop for a bite or to quench your thirst.
