The laughs are coming to The Social Restaurant & Taproom when Homebrewed Comedy comes to Naples on Saturday, Oct. 21. Duane Wilt is headlining the show, and he’ll be there with Ryan Garcia, Kai VonDoom and host Mike Peters.
The show will start at 6 p.m. Tickets are $5 and are available at the door. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
About the comedians:
Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.
Kai VonDoom’s likeability, work ethic and ability to find humor in taboo subjects have helped her become a staple in the Rochester comedy scene. She’s opened for Orlando Jones, Shuli Egar and Justin Lawson, and she could write a novel based on the DMs she’s gotten from creepy guys.
Ryan Garcia is a Rochester-based comic who’s performed all over the area in Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse and New York City. He won R.I.T.’s Funniest Comic in 2019, performed at sold-out Fringe Festival shows and was a semifinalist in Rochester’s Funniest Person in 2019. Hot, humble, and good at writing his own bios, Garcia can be seen performing on shows all over the state, including Rochester’s Comedy at the Carlson.”
A comedian out of Canandaigua, Duane Wilt is a local favorite. Quick on his feet and comfortable with the mic in his hands, Wilt has worked all over New York and released his debut album, “Why Are You Laughing?” In 2017.
